"I had only been modeling for maybe 2 months when I met Mike Trobee. He had emailed me and asked if I wanted to do a shoot. Of course I said yes, but I told him I wanted to bring someone along to make me feel more comfortable. He encourages this idea for the simple fact he wants you as a model to be as comfortable as possible- you can read emotion in a picture. "Going to my very first photo shoot, I did not know what to expect. Nervousness, anxious, excited, all this was going through my mind on the way to Memphis, to my very first shoot. As I got out of the car when I arrived to 554 Green Tree Cove, I was greeted by Mike Trobee himself. The very first words out of his mouth were, "Hi, I'm Mike Trobee, let me help you with your bags". At that moment, all the jitter bugs, all the questions left me. I knew that this was going to be the craziest, most exciting day of my life. After eight hours, I had experienced so much. My favorite was the Hot Lights. I loved doing those pictures. Posing, but then getting as still as you possibly could; the fan blowing your hair and outfit, wherever the wind touched, that spot would be blurry. I thought that was so cool. When I got my pictures back, my hair is strawberry blonde, so it looked like I had an odd color of fire coming from the back of my head. There were so many outfit changes, I can't even remember them all. Mike made everything perfect, from the background changes, whether it was black, gray, white, or Italy, the list goes on, we also went to a pond. Mike also was very picky with the lights. I guess that is a given when you are an excellent photographer. If there was a shadow, he would fix it. If there was light on my face that wasn't supposed to be there, he would fix it. Whether he was taking head shoots or full body shoots, it was obvious to me that Mike knew exactly what he was doing. Mike is not bossy and lets you do what you want to do. He is very serious about his work but has fun while he does it. Driving three and a half hours was defiantly worth it for me. "
